The RM3P .50 cal Blank Firing Adaptor (BFA) is a live fire training device installed on the M3P .50 cal Machine Gun. Using either M1 or M1A1 Blank .50 caliber (12.7x 99mm) ammunition, the mechanism provides operating personnel a safe and reliable device with which the weapon can be fired automatically in a training environment. The unit is easily installed, operated, and maintained by the personnel assigned to the system into which the weapon is installed. This flexibility and ease of use make it a high potential for many weapon systems. Current installations include the UNITED STATES ARMY AVENGER System.
